The 15mm distressed black wax oiled floor in our Antique range is created by artisan, handmade by craftsman with decades of woodwork experience. It retains the natural wood knots and cracks, features characters that is unmatched by any machine finished wooden floor. It is been chosen by many designers and architects that are responsible for re-innovating grand mansions, barn-conversions or big cottage houses. The top of the floor is finished in black wax oil from the legendary brand American Wood Oil, again all hand-applied three times to achieve the richness of an oiled finish, while at the same time provide strong protection from everyday life. It is capable of coping with most domestic use, and also suitable in light to heavy commercial environment providing regular maintenance. At 220mm wide, and 2200mm full length, this floor is the ideal choice for big living area, creating large sense of space that would not be possible in any smaller sized wooden floor. This is why it's among the favourite for many cafes and bars. It has 4mm fine oak top layer, which can withstand up to 3 times sanding during its lifetime. Multi layer eucalyptus plywood act as the supporting layer is to keep the floor stable over many decades.
